Have you ever wished for a magic stretch that would miraculously fix all your aches and pains?
Well… sorry to disappoint you, but expecting a miraculous result from a single stretch that you only complete when you feel pain coming on will leave you disappointed.
To achieve the best results, you will need to perform a series of different stretches at least every second day because there is no single best stretch for your body.
If you’re disappointed that you haven’t just received the secret answer to relieving all your muscle pain, don’t be. Once you build the habit of stretching into your weekly routine, you’ll find it very worthwhile. Not only will regular stretching relieve pain, but it will increase your flexibility and help prevent injuries. It also relieves stress by forcing you to spend a few minutes each day removing tension from your body.
Unfortunately, the best results do NOT come from a single magic stretch. While there are great stretches for different purposes, one does not exist that will relieve all of your pain. So, take a deep breath and stop looking for the magic stretch.
For long term pain relief, a well planned stretching program will help to increase joint mobility, decrease muscle pain, and reduce risk of injury. A proper stretching program will include different stretches for different days and different muscle groups in order to give your muscles a good workout without creating imbalances.
Go ahead a pick a few random stretches from our list of free stretching videos here. You don’t need to do a lot; in fact you’ll get more benefit from picking just 3 or 4 and concentrating on them, rather than trying to do 8 or 10.
